...The National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky has issued a 
   flood warning for the Skillet Fork River affecting areas in 
   southern Illinois... 

   At Wayne City affecting Wayne and White Counties

.Due to the anticipated heavy rainfall across portions of the Skillet
Fork River Basin over the next 3 days, minor to moderate flood conditions 
are forecast to develop on Saturday. The river is forecast to crest on 
Sunday and fall below flood stage early next week. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded 
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow 
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather 
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

* Flood Warning for the Skillet Fork River at Wayne City.
* from Saturday evening to Monday morning.
* At 10 AM Thursday the stage was 11.3 feet. 
* Flood Stage is 15.0 feet. 
* Moderate flooding is forecast. 
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage Saturday evening and crest 
  near 19.5 feet Sunday afternoon. The river is forecast to fall
  below flood stage on Monday.
